What is your wishing moon & is it different from everyone else's?
I remember reading something that Kim posted about her asking for something on her wishing moon.
How can I tell when mine is???

The Wishing Moon is during the Balsamic Phase of the moon. It is the three days prior to the New Moon. So, everyone gets one every month! How cool is that?

How neat. Is there a site where I can track down when the next one is?

Does anyone know when this month's wishing moon date? Is it this weekend? Sat or Sun?

Good question. It's this weekend. Not sure though whether Sat or Sunday. Kim said she was going out of town and may not be able to respond. Maybe we should do the exercise both days just to make sure we're doing it right.

I think the Wishing Moon is on Sunday. I found this:
THE BALSAMIC MOON The Balsamic Moon is the phase of the Moon cycle that occurs during the 3 days before the New Moon. The Balsamic Moon phase is known as the Wishing Moon. This is a time for invoking what is needed. The Balsamic Moon is also called the Witches’ Moon because witches traditionally bring people to mind for healing at this time of every month. Healing comes through feeling at this pivotal time of the Moon's cycle.
Kim is supposed to be back some point on Sunday so perhaps she can verify for us.

This was interesting to read:
All I ask is that you pick one drawer, one cubby, one little square foot in your garage – and clear it now. Just don’t make a big deal out of it, or you probably won’t do it at all. Energy is often low at this dark moon phase. Target a manageable space. One of those clutter spots that nag at you. Toss what you don’t need. Consider a simpler life. Do the same with at least one of your mental closets. Release an attachment that binds you. Then rest. In clearing physical and mental space, you make a metaphysical statement: You’re charging your environment and your mind. You’re inviting something better and new to pour in at the next waxing moon. This is one of the most potent times in the entire lunar cycle, when you prepare by dissolving, detoxing, letting go. Eat light. Drink lots of water. Cultivate peace; practice the art of refraining. Reflect events around you like a still, serene pond.

I also found this: The Balsamic Moon: The Balsamic Moon is 72 hours before the New Moon; this is a time to enter the void, to transmute, to empty out in order to create space and prepare for the new cycle. If you have written a list, now is the time to burn it. Blow out your candle. This symbolizes your releasing process going into emptiness. Gently move into the void, be still, be silent, get rest, and take care of yourself in deep, nurturing ways. I hope you are not all sick of all my posts. I found this: Waning Moon Rite Last Quarter, August 15, through Balsamic Moon phase, August 19-22 From Last Quarter through Balsamic Phase is the best time of the month for bringing things to closure and letting go of whatever is no longer wanted or needed in your life. Of course, the real work of letting go must be done the hard way, whether by pulling weeds, cleaning out clutter, or banishing emotional issues that are keeping you down and preventing you from moving forward. Often, though, a ritual to connect with Spirit can be of great assistance in your achieving either mundane or inner release. Here's a simple one to use: Choose natural objects to symbolize what you want to release—stones, leaves, twigs, or if you wish, a paper on which you can write what you will release and then burn it to ash. You'll need to go outdoors to bury the object (or ashes), so you may also need a small trowel or spoon. If at all possible, go out when and where you can actually see the waning Moon above you. Hold your chosen symbol in mediation, as you will your purpose into it and out of your inner self. Then, hold the symbol up to the Moon and call her as Crone Goddess: Sunlight wanes and Moonlight, too. Crone of wisdom, come to me. Bear witness to what I release, Returned to Earth, so mote it be! Bury your symbol somewhere you need not return to any time soon. Cover the symbol with soil, then hold your hands over it and repeat the call to Crone, as you feel the release of energy. Then turn and walk away. Don't look back—not even the tiniest glance! www.starcraftseast.com/html/magical_moon.html
