The Longing Exercise
"most of us have felt something was missing in our lives, that there had to be far more to life than a paycheck, a 2 car garage, 2.5 kids and a matching towel set. There was an emptiness we haven't understood and rarely spoke about, a hollowness we yearn to fill, but never did- or could.
The greatest gift we can give ourselves is to seek to remember who and what we are. The only way we will ever fill that longing is to walk into our own power and accept our divinity while we relish our physicalness"
List some of the ways you have tried to fill that deep longing and how it made you feel:
Example: Escaping into TV------- down, useless
OK, now you all can do this one on your own since some of this can be pretty personal.

we are then asked to discuss the following: (my thoughts included)
1. What is "thought" to you? Thought to me is pure energy, the impulses in the brain, firing around until they find meaning. Thought is a tough thing to describe because we as humans really don't have a word to describe it.
2. Where does it come from? Wow, that is a toughie too. I think that thought comes from a collective intelligence in addition to our own imaginations.
3. How do we originate it? Boy, they are really asking us to dig deep. Again, I think it originates with "Source" or spirit. The collective library of thought energy.
4. What does it do? What is its purpose? It helps us to communicate with each other and learn.
5. Can it harm us? Can it help us? How? Yes, thought can harm us if we listen to and create negative messages that hold us back from reaching our potentials. It can help us when we realize the power behind our thoughts and how they can create our reality.
6. What does this mean: "We are thought manifested into life form"? I believe that our true reality is our soul essence that exists through time and space and moves from life to life and body to body. When the body ends, our soul or our "thought energy" does not end. It continues. You can not destroy energy in any form. You can mutate it or transform it, but it never disappears.
According to the workbook: We are pure, raw, Source material manifested into form to learn and understand how to manipulate that energy in the physicality. Pure, raw, source material is thought in its highest (frequency) form.
We are not our body, we are mind IN body.

Kim- I have to say that your answers are pretty right on with how I feel! Sorry, I guess I'm saying I really have nothing to add!
