Info on Astrology 101 Discussion

Hello all!!!!

I would like to congratulate all of you who have decided to take this journey with me to learn more about astrology. Please keep in mind that when it comes to astro stuff, I have just enough knowledge to be dangerous and I am learning with you as we go.


I HIGHLY suggest that you pick up a reference book or two to help you with this since we will all need to do a little studying on our own to understand and contribute to the discussion. I highly suggest Isabel Hickey's book Astrology, a Cosmic Science. Whatever book you get, make sure it has explanations concerning all the houses, the planets in each house, as well as the signs and their affect on each house.

I have posted an area where you can post a thread on your own charts so we have them to look at. Starting Monday 10/3 we will start a discussion thread on the first house and what it means as well as what you have in it. We will only be looking at natal charts at this time. Note that I'm starting this on the solar eclipse... new beginnings!!!!

I'm really looking forward to this!!!

what exactly do we click on to get our current transits over at astro.com

I am wondering what house I will feel this merc retro in so wanted to see what house my merc is in now ~ am almost afraid to look

you go to "extended chart selection" and then click on the type of charts you want. Pick natal with transits.

I think merc will be in sag for me and I am not sure about the house ~ I am feeling sort of astro~stupid... maybe the 10th? I could not tell by looking over there what all the numbers meant....

hey would merc being in sag and me having it in sag make it stronger ~ anyone know?

That is what my Uranus is now currently in does it mean 6th house and 51 degees?
