I have a question regarding the chart that we all print from astro.com

On the right hand side, there is a small box with few squares. Vertically, it has letters F A E W and across, it has C F M.

Can anyone tell me what these stand for. I am trying to learn reading this as I go along.

the f, a e w are the elements: or the distribution of fire , earth, air and water

the distribution of modalities or qualities: mutable, fixed and cardinal.
