alright everyone...im seeking help. my dearly departed mother alas took all of her wonderful recipies with her...and im not sure as to what i should be making for the holidays, as this is my last official chance to eat what i want due to the upcoming surgery. if anyone has any good ones please share!!

Here is one of our Christmas favorites....Hope it is what your looking for, its not cookies or candies but is a family favorite all my life...Happy to share it with you....
Chocolate Delight
1st Layer
½ Cup Butter
1 Cup Flour
½ Cup Pecans
Cream together, Spread on bottom of glass baking dish. Bake @ 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.
2nd Layer
2- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1- 9 oz. Cool Whip
½ Cup Shredded Coconut (Optional)
Mix Cream Cheese, sugar and cool whip. Spread on crust when cooled. Then Coconut.
3rd Layer
2- 3 ¾ Box Chocolate instant pudding
3 Cups Milk
Mix and spread on second layer
4th Layer
12 oz Cool Whip
½ Cup toasted Coconut (optional)
½ Cup Pecans
Spread Cool Whip then Coconut then nuts.
Freeze Hershey Bar and grade on top.
It is not hard at all and very tasty..

thank you sooo much. ill give this one a try. im really frustrated because there were so many good ones that i dont have now and i want to be able to make these things. the surgery is gastric bypass(lap band procedure) and i really want to be able to enjoy some goodies one last year before i change my entire eating habits....not a big sweet eater to begin with but it would be nice to indulge one last time!!

Your very welcome. Put up some of the things that she made and I will see if I have recipes for them...How bout that? Might not be as good as Mom made them but it will be something to start with...You know I must be a cajun..I haven't been to this site in a while and what I am worried about is someone eating LOL...I pray your gastro bypass goes great for you hun! When do you have it? Will keep ya in my prayers...
