Is this bad? I am also a Virgo born on AUgust 30th and I read that Uranus at this time was affecting me most as with certain date born opposites (pisces) Is this true?

I'm a Pisces Sun and have Uranus retro natally in my 2nd house (Virgo). It actually was good for me (and has been). Since Uranus went into Pisces (my 8th house..house of unearned income/inheritance), my dad has started giving my sister and I a big chunk of money every year at Christmas time, saying it is to spend down his estate so we don't get killed with inheritance taxes.
Also... just about the time Uranus when direct I got a big check that I wasn't expecting AT ALL from a work injury that was last year (hmm... Merc retro AND Uranus working together maybe???).
So, it doesn't have to be bad, it is usually just unexpected and out of the blue. I read some where that with Uranus, what you thought you could count on is like quick sand and not stable, but areas that you never, ever thought you could count on, bring you stability and good surprises. I have this picture of Uranus in my mind as one of those old fashioned "Jack-in-the-boxes". You never know when it will pop up or what it will bring!!!

Yes I am trying to be positive but my last couple doses of Uranus have been less than pleasant....LOL. But I guess that is what keeps life interesting right?

Ummm....interesting...yeah, that's the word...lol. I just figured out that I have Transit Uranus in opposition to my natal Uranus, which AD informs me with my neptune square neptune and pluto square pluto are markers of a midlife shift. Growing up so to speak. Uranus can be a double edged sword it seems. Usually the changes work out for the best. Either that or I'm delusional. One of the two.
