I am thankful we have Shelby in our lives and that she is doing so well.
Yesterday we went to visit my mom for Mother's Day. Since we always take Jack, we took Shelby too. To try and cut down on the stress, Charlie went in with Jack first and then took Jack and my mom's Shepherd/Husky Buffy outside. I had intended to take Shelby into a quiet house...
little did I know my aunt and uncle were visiting. Little did I know my sister had already got there and that she had adopted a rescue puppy on Friday and brought her.
Shelby did quite well, but mom wanted to keep the pup seperated from her as Harmony is only 10-weeks old and full of energy, AND is already as big as Shelby...we were worried about Shelby getting overwhelmed by everything.
After dinner Shelby wanted out. Harmony asked to go out too and I decided to go out with them, just in case...
They looked like a scene from Winnie the Pooh--Harmony playing the part of Tigger bounding behind Shelby's shy and quiet Eeore. And then something WONDERFUL happened. Shelby turned to the puppy, picked up her tail and WAGGED it!!!! Then, she bounded after the puppy!!!! They were PLAYING TOGETHER!!!! I haven't learned the settings on the camera yet, so unfortunately I wasn't able to get a good shot...but the JOY of seeing her PLAY!!! Priceless!
